In November 2010 a man I had known for many years as my next door neighbour died after battling with pneumonia and other illnesses. I had been praying for Jim* for many years. When I started a WW Bible study group he took up the invitation to join the group. By studying scripture he came to realise that being morally upright was not enough and quietly, in his own time, came to saving faith in the Lord Jesus. After his committal my wife and I met his brother and other siblings for the first time. They were overjoyed to see us. They said that it was partly because of the input Jim had received from the study group that they could arrange a service of thanksgiving, rather than a funeral service.
